The Var department (FR-83) is located in the southeast of France. It belongs to the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region and has the seat of the prefecture in Toulon. The Var has a little more than 1 million inhabitants in 153 communities.
On the coast, it lies between the departments of Bouches-du-Rhône (Marseille) and Alpes-Maritimes (Nice).
The area can hardly be surpassed in terms of diversity and offers something for every taste. This applies to both the range of nature and leisure activities. There are 230 beaches and bays on the 400km coastline. Everyone is spoiled for choice.

In the immediate vicinity and within sight of the house is the medieval mountain village of Grimaud, which with its 4,500 inhabitants is considered one of the most beautiful villages in Provence.
In addition to the great view over the Gulf of Saint Tropez from the former castle complex, the incomparable atmosphere
in the city with its charming houses, bars and restaurants, where you can still enjoy the Mediterranean flair in the evening, also contributes to this.
